SAO Asuna Schooluniform | Part 2

Hello everyone!
Today I went further with this costume, but sad enough, it's not done yet. Anyway, let me show you what I did today!

I started with the blouse. Yesterday I bought a blouse, but too bad they only sold male sizes, and the smallest size was like...three times my size?!? So I thought it would be a good idea if I sew the sideparts to let the size shrimp. As you can see, the result is just terrible, but I couldn't care less. The only parts that are important to me are the collar and the upperpart. I made the blue stripes with a textile marker, but that was awful! At the end it did turn out great, but it is something that I would not do again any time soon.

When the blouse was done, I kept going with my skirt. Now it is (almost) finished! I attached the zipper and after that I desired it in my bodysize. The only thing that I need to do is to cut the upperpart, but I have to wait for that until my jacket is completely finished.

After the skirt I made the collar for my jacket. Little did I know this also was going to be terrible! This definitely took me the longest today. I cut it several times and at the end I sewed two sides together ( I thought that one piece of fabric would be too thin). By the time that was done, I surely wasn't. I also needed to put the with pieces on it. To be honest, the skirt was easy as pie compared to this collar! But I did it, and I'm glad it is over.

And last but not least, I tried to make the patches. In the beginning it went well, but when I started to draw the bird with the black fineliner, it became a mess. I now have to re-do one of them, and still need to figure out how I can draw the birds without making black stains.

Tomorrow I'll post the last one. If it is not done by then, I have a huge problem :'). Hope you liked my blog and stay tuned!

SAO Asuna Schooluniform | Part 1

Hey everyone!
Some of you may know I like to make my own costumes :) Two months ago I posted about the fabric that I bought that time, which I'm using now for my Asuna Schooluniform, a girl from the anime Sword Art Online. For the fabric-post, click here!

I was going to post it yesterday, but I forgot time because I was so busy with my costume! Anyway, yesterday I started with several things. First I went to the mall and bought myself a maillot and a blouse for the costume. Then I got to work with my costume itself. I started off with the skirt. I decided to do the skirt in two parts, because that was easier for me. I started to pleat the skirt, which was an adventure itself! I needed almost THREE metres to make it! After I formed and sewed it, I took a flatiron and make the pleats come more alive. After this I sew the skirt together, and started with the other part.

For the other part I took a long piece of fabric, since I didn't know where to start or the end the jacket/skirt. I sewed the bottom of fabric with the top of the pleated skirt, and I began with the jacket.

I cut out the fabric in desirable lengths, and started with the sleeves. I pinned every sleeve and tried if it was open enough to put my arm through. When it was, I sewed next to the pins and also did that with the other sleeve.

Then the jacket. I didn't know where to start, so I tried to make it look like a shirt first. I cut two pieces of fabric, one for the front and one for the back, and sewed the shoulders and the waist. The part for my head and my arms were kept open.

As soon as I fitted it, I cut the middle in the front, because it is an open jacket, and then I needed to sew the shoulders a bit tighter. After that, I pinned the sleeves at the shoulderparts, and sewed it together.

Then, I was just so exhausted and it was already late, so I stopped. Today, I will go further! I hope to get my skirt done, and most parts of my jacket.  I will update you!

Stay tuned!

Li Hao

New In | Vintage Pink Shorts

Hey everyone!

Animecon is getting closer, it is already this weekend! Since I still need to prepare my costume, I decided to go to the mall today. While I was searching for some blouses, a maillot and a pair of shoes with my friend my eye got caught by this shorts.

Summer is coming (I hope so!) and I found my vacation (which is in less than 4 weeks) a good excuse to buy these shorts by Denim Co. I really like the vintage at the bottom, and the fact that it the darkblue is coming out through the pink, gives it a edgier look. I believe this is hot!

This is going to be one of my favourites to wear this summer, for sure! What do you like to wear in summer? :)

I also will post my progress with the Asuna-costume today, so stay tuned!

Asiagoodies | Rilakkuma Phonecase

Hey everyone!

Last sunday I went to the fleemarket, and by suprise I found this phonecase! I already wanted a rilakkuma phonecase, but I could only find them online, and those prices are quite shocking, against the price I paid for this case.

I really like Rilakkuma, as I also said some posts before :) That I found this one by accident, made me so happy! I was struggling the whole time to buy or to not buy the case online, but when I found this one so cheap I just couldn't resist myself.

Although it was hard searching for the right colour ( since they had many cases with colours like pink, red, black, blue, but the original colour was nowhere to be found) I'm happy to find mine. I still need to get used to it, because it isn't that easy anymore to put it into my pocket since I'm afraid the ears will break off somehow. But I love it! I think I cannot find another phonecase that would fit me and my phone better than this one. :)

Hope you enjoyed my blog and stay tuned! :)

Look of the Week 21 | Catch a Coat

Hey everyone!

A new Look of the Week, this time with my new amazing coat! It's not only to show off my coat, but also because it is way to cold to go outside without. I'm busy thinking about my new layout and what I can blog about, so as you can see my LOTW isn't that...cool.

Anyway, two days ago I showed you my new coat and I thought it would be a good idea to show you how it actually looks on a body. Always when I go out shopping and I see something nice, if it is just hanging on a hanger or a doll wears it, most of the times I get dissapointed because it doens't look that nice as it looks on them. Does anyone else has the same thing?

But now about the look. As I told before it is not awesome or special or something. This is just what I would wear everyday when it is still a bit cold outside, just as now. I'm wearing my favourite blue jeans and my one and only trapped Allstars. I definitely need to buy new shoes!

And also, I did my hair again! I got inspired on youtube, since I follow hair and make-up tutorials. My hair looks shorter, but I think this is kinda cool when you want something else! What do you think?

Hope you liked my blog, and stay tuned! Because I'm not done yet soon ;).
PS: It is just me or does my head looks way bigger than my body on the first photo? O.o It's the best I got but...still scary.

Asiagoodies | Rilakkuma earphones

Hey everyone!
Guess what I got? My own earphones by Rilakkuma! I'm very excited to show you. I'm a big fan of all the cute stuff Rilakkuma has, from pillows till chopsticks till...earphones? My boyfriend is so sweet to bought these for me, all the way from Singapore.

Since it was my birthday (already over 3 weeks ago) he wanted to buy me something from Rilakkuma. He told me that, because he knows I become so curious when I know what kind of present(or even with something else) it is, but don't know exactly. He got me some other presents on my birthday itself, but the shipping of this took long, so for the past three weeks he is 'torturing' me with my Rilakkuma present.

But today, he got them deliverd and gave them to me. I was so happy! I never thought that there would excist something such as Rilakkuma earphones. He told me what the site was, and really, wow! They got so much cool stuff. This earphones actually were limited edition, and I still can't believe I'm one of the few lucky ones who've got them! I will also definitely buy more Rilakkuma things from that store if I'm doing large purchase. :)

What do you think about these earphones? Yay or nay? I think they are really cute and awesome! It sure is something you won't see often, especially when it is limited edition.

I hope you liked my blog, and stay tuned!

New In | Khaki coat with Leopard print

Hey everyone!!

So, after having my finals done, I couldn't wait to show you what kind of new coat I bought! I've always wanted a khaki coat, and I searched everywhere! At a time I even thought it was better to forget about it, and so I did...

Until I found this jacket by Sutherland accidently, Yay! But I should have known you never take things for granted. When I saw this coat and I pulled on this jacket, it was too big. And there were no 1 size smallers, only 2 sizes. So I thought: you know, mayby I fit this one. Well guess what? I didn't! I asked one of the employers if they had anything left in store, but they didn't.

Lucky me there also excist something called online shopping! So I went to the online site of this store ( the Sting) and I found my jacket, in my size!  What I was going through, just for one jacket, can you believe it?

And so now I have my jacket, which I'm very proud off. There were jackets like these, but there was always something that I disliked: the length, the buttons, and if it was not the jacket itself it was te pricetag on it. What I like about this jacket is the colour of course and the tie, which kind of coat I was looking for. Furthermore, the best part was the inside! I really love how they attached blue with leopard on the inside. That's what makes a piece of clothing special.

Hope you liked my story about this coat, and stay tuned!!

I try to do even more blogs, besides my work and wallet with no money in it. So please stay tuned, and I will post some interesting things again when my exams are over. My last exam is on May 22th, so that's not too long right? ;)

See you soon!

Look of the Week 19 | Attach accesoires

Hey everyone!
This look of the week is colourful! Not only is pink my favourite color, I'm also lucky to have these bright yellow pants. Last week was pretty sunny, and I would have been perfect if there wasn't that much wind but I shouldn't complain. :)

Here I wear one of my lovely shirts. I like it that the sleeves are halfway and that it doesn't feel like a sweater. It's loose so it is also really comfy. I also haven't worn my pants in a couple of weeks, so I thought it would be funny to also wear these this time. Sometimes I think the look would be to bright, but I cannot imagine that this pants will look awesome on a grey or even black shirt. I should think for something that makes the pants eyecatching, while my look doesn't look like a unicorn-rainbow-thingy.

And, I even put some jewelry on this time! This look was way to boring so I thought: Why not put some bracelets on? I'm not the type for jewelry, but I do like to wear it sometimes. What do you think, should I do  this more often? :)

And I know I look a little pregnant or just fat on the photo. Screw this :') Not to mention my horrifying face... Wanno know how this comes? It's exam-time! Yes, I have my exams and so I'm not even trying to look good or whatever. I hope I'll graduate and after that I can do more than just eat or study haha. So, now you know.

This was my LOTW, hope you enjoyed it!

Asiagoodies | The China Edition

Hey everyone!
Here another part of my birthdaypresents. I almost love everything that has to do with the asian culture, especially when it's something that gives you luck. So my little brothers know, and I really love them to buy such cute things for me!

Firstly I got this Chinese lucky cat. I always wanted to have one, and finally got one! Not to mention that this one is pretty big! It now stands on my windowsill. So everytime I walk into my room I see him moving with his paw. Can't wait for the luck he is throwing to me :).

Secondly I got these lucky chopsticks. My own chopsticks broke a while ago and I couldn't find chopsticks I like, until now! It came with this luxurious case. After I eat with these chopsticks, I clean them and put them back into the case right away. This case is stored in my room. This case also came with two little holders for the chopsticks. I'm really happy with these. I love the color, the case, just everything!

And last but not least, I got some chinese soap. Don't ask me what is written on it, I can't read chinese haha. This soap smells strongly like a real rose. I really love the smell. I haven't used it yet, but even now my whole room smells like lovely roses. Awesome right?

Hope you enjoyed this blog, and don't forget to stay tuned! :)

New In | Babypink studded shorts

Hey everyone!

Omo! I really can't wait until it is summer. Next month I will be going on holiday, and I just can't wait! So right now I'm preparing with shop some summerproof clothing, and here is my next item.

I never can get enough of shorts. This is the first one I bought this year, and I need more! Normally I like the light denim shorts, but I couldn't find them and this one from Denim Co was something else that my summercloset accepted with love.

I like the babypink, the soft colour matches great with the dark golden studs. I actually bought it because of the studs haha. I like to wear eyecatching items, especially when it's combined witch rough denim or studs.

So what do you think about these shorts? Thanks for reading and stay tuned!

Look of the Week 18 | Shining Spring

Hey everyone!

This weeks look is very colourful! I tried to make it a bit funky, but still great for an everydaylook. I always liked pink and green as a mach, and now I have put it into this outfit! I didn't want to overwhelm everything, so I added my bleachprinted jeans combined with my grey shoes with some pink details, to match the rest of the outfit.

As I told you before I really like my new shirt which I got from the Monki. The neon colour really gives me the summerfeeling! Since it is still a bit cold when there is wind, I decided to match my outfit with my pink blazer. This also adds bright colours which I like in Spring/Summer.

Since my neon-shirt is a bit short, I put a black tanktop underneath. What do you think? Is this good to go? I find that it attaches playfulness to the outfit. Furthermore I decided to go with my bleached jeans, to even make it more playful! I rather be an outstander, what about you? :) Last but not least my shoes. I wear this because of the pink details, to match it with my blazer as said above.

Hope you liked my blog and stay tuned!

Asiagoodies | Hello Kitty Style

Hey everyone!
When I got spoiled last thursday because it was my birthday, we came by a little Hello Kitty shop. I think Hello Kitty is something cute, so I ran into the tiny shop and looked if I saw something nice. And I did!

First I got this Hello Kitty hat. I found this so rare that it was a must have. Not that I would ever wear this though, okay maybe when I'm in a weird mood or whatever, but this is something I wanna decorate my room with.

Next I got these cute dark Kitty earrings. They are so heavy and big! But I really like them. Since last thursday I wear them and I got pretty used to the weight of it. I find it so cute and adorable, but the fact that it's dark makes it less 'baby-girl' like. They also had other colors, but I liked this one the best!

And last but not least, my key cap. Even after years I can't get used to my keys, and still have to search which key I need for my house, my cycle and so on. So now: my Hello Kitty cap! When I need to open the door, I just have to grab my Hello Kitty and know it is the right key. Pretty handy right? Also with the slipovers they had several designs, but I like bows so I chose this on. :)

Those were the three things I got from the Hello-Kitty store. They had many more things as pluche, mugs, shirts, necklaces and even slippers! I never saw a Hello Kitty store before, but when I'm in Rotterdam again, I'll definitely check that one out!

I hope you enjoyed my blog, stay tuned!

New In | Neon Green Leopard Shirt

Hey everyone!

Yesterday was my birthday!! Yayy, I'm really getting old... But, to forget about the anti-wrinkle cream and the anti-cellulite stuff I probably need to buy between now and a few days, my boyfriend decided to spoil me!

I got a lot of presents and of course I would do a review about them. But for now, let's talk about the only shirt I really loved when I was shopping in Rotterdam yesterday.

To start off, Rotterdam is like heaven to me! It was the first time for us to get there, and we didn't even see all the shops. Not to mention they have at least two stores of each in the centre, and about four MacDonalds?!? Anyway, it is definitely a place where you would see me again!

But about this shirt. I am a huge fan of Monki, but since there isn't any nearby and I actually never have the money... I never bought something from that brand. But now, I am happy that I can finally wear something of them! When I saw this shirt I was in love. It is really neon-ish, which I like! Also the little leopard print in it makes it even more fashionable! Although it is short, and I'm more from the longer shirts, I just wouldn't forgive myself if I haven't bought it. This shirt sure is a must have for my summercloset!

This awesome Monki-shirt is the best clothing-item I bought since I started New In. I can't wait to wear it! It is great on a hot summers day with shorts, I can already imagine how lovely that will be!

I hope you enjoyed this blog, and stay tuned!
