For the last two days I went to Abunaicon, and of course I couldn't go home empty handed! I thought I would've bought more since I got there for two days, but that's not the case. Still, I got home with some awesome stuff so let my show you what I bought!
Friday I only bought one thing, because the deallerroom opened at 6pm and it got very crowded in the deallerroom by then. I was looking around and something caught my eye: this poster. I really like geisha's and cherryblossoms, so this was the perfect combination! This is a very beautiful poster that is now on my wall. I don't like my walls pale, I want them to be inspiring, and I want something to look at. Who likes to look at a pale wall after all?
The second day I bought more. First of all I bought this statue of Mikasa. I really like this statue and it wasn't that expensive. Now it's next to my Asuna statue. I hope I can buy more statues in the future (^_^).
I also bought some candy at the Tofucute.com stand. One is candy that tastes like watermelon, the other has a fruity flavour. I tried them both and they are delicious! There are ten gummies in each package. It might seem little, but one is just enough for me, since it has a strong flavour. ^.^
And last but not least I bought a Hatsune Miku pluche! I've been wanting one for the moment I cosplayed her. That is like two years! Of course I saw Miku pluches enough, but the most of them were holding a leek, and if they didn't, she had weird eyes or another outfit. But I want her with the original outfit, so when I saw this one I bought it immediately!
I hope I can make my videos as soon as possible, so stay tuned!

Today's Look | Kirito from Gun Gale Online
Hey everyone!
Actually, this is the look that I wore yesterday, but I got home so late so I decided I would post it today. Saturday was my second and last day of Abunai!. My friend decided to go as Death Gun, so I said I would go as Kirito so we could be a match. But that was before I realised Kirito is still a guy in the game.
I also did two photoshoots. From the first person I don't know where I can find my photo's back, but if I'll find them, I'll put them on my cosplay facebook. The second photographer was a friend of mine, which also took shots of me and Death Gun together. They'll come online within a few days. :)

So it felt a bit awkward yesterday, to pretend to be a guy. But I must say that I had a lot of fun though. Still, I consider to go as Sinon next time. (^_^)

A preview from the second photoshoot ^^ Kirito is acting like an innocent girl, while it's actually an awesome killer. |

Today's Look | Schoolgirl
Today was the first day of Abunai!2014. It was a long trip, which seemed even longer since I was really tired. When I looked back at my trips I made to Abunai! before, I thought that it wasn't going to be a good idea when I'll go as Tohka. So I decided to go as Tohka once I have my drivers license (which I hope is very soon!)
So this is my look for today. For tomorrow I'll be going as Kirito from GGO! I didn't see that much people that cosplayed a character from SAO, but who knows how many there are tomorrow. ^^ All I know is that I'll be sitting in the train with Death Gun for 2 hours. I'm looking forward to it...not.
And by the way, I'm tired from waking up early and going to bed very late, so please don't mind my dark circles...(>.<)
Stay tuned!

So, with all my creativity I thought that I could go as a schoolgirl. It would match the theme of Abunai! perfectly, since it's called 'Class Dismissed'. For this look I took the skirt that I made for my Asuna schooluniform, the shirt that I bought for MGC2012 and a white blouse (the shirt goes up once I start moving around)

New In | Kirito GGO Wig
I finally received my wig for my Kirito cosplay! I thought I wouldn't have it within time, but it did! I have lot to worry about for my Tohka cosplay, so I don't want to worry about Kirito's as well.
When I put the wig on, I noticed that it's already trimmed. I couldn't be more lucky! I cannot trim properly... I always take some scissors and cut a wig on good luck. Seriously, it's almost a workout for me to cut the bangs of a wig. I'm so exhausted and sweaty when it comes to cutting a wig.
My wighead looks weird with this wig XD |
Sorry for the bad quality... |
Abunai is getting so close..I'm really stressed out because of my costumes and I don't have much time left...(T.T)
Be sure to stay tuned!

Tohka Yatogami Cosplay | Part II
It's been a while since I posted something about my cosplay for Tohka. I wanted to cosplay Tohka for Animecon this year, but there wasn't enough time for me because of my study. This time however, I don't have to work for my study yet, so there is more time left for my cosplay. In contrast to my Kirito GGO cosplay, I didn't buy cosplay pieces for Tohka. I make it all myself, and believe me, it's harder than you would think. ;)
For Animecon I made the skirt, but it wasn't completely finished. There wasn't enough volume at the bottom. So I bought some extra tule to create the volume, and it worked!
I made this skirt with lots of lilac tule (let's say a little over 10 meter), a strech waistband and some bleach. Bleach? Yes, bleach. The skirt of tohka is white at the bottom, so I used bleach to make the lilac tule white at the pointed parts.

The end! Looks kinda weird on the ground, but looks good when it's on ^_^ |

Kirito GGO Cosplay | Part I
Not even one week left before the big convention Abunai! takes place. I'm very excited for it, since it will be the first time for me to enter a convention for two days instead of one. Still, I have to do a lot of work to complete both my Tohka and my Kirito cosplays.
For this first part of Kirito I bought half of the cosplay. One person sold it for a great price, so I couldn't resist it. The main reason I wanted to cosplay Kirito was that I thought that it was a girl. Everyone told me that he plays a girl in the game. Literally everyone! But now I know I shouldn't listen to them anymore haha. He still is a guy in GGO, but looks a lot like a girl. It kinda feels weird to cosplay a character like this, but I hope it will look good on me!
The jacket. |
The cuirass. |
The shirt. |
Does this have an official name? I really want to know haha |
There is only one problem that I need to solve right now. Since Kirito is a male, he is flatchested. I'm not. So the thing is, is that the cuirass doesn't fit me the way that I want to...so I need to find a solution for this. (>_<)

New In | My own mannequin!
Hey everyone!
Today I received my very own mannequin! I'm very excited about this. I've been making clothes for 1,5 year now, but never had the money to buy a decent mannequin. Can you imagine how it is to be your own mannequin? It surely hurts sometimes with those needles that get accidentaly in your skin...
Anyway, I worked hard this vacation, and with all the money I received I finally decided to buy one.
I bought one before a couple of months ago. I could adjust this mannequin to my own size which I thought came in handy. But in the end I turned it back, since some parts of the mannequin were overlapping eachother, which shouldn't be the case when adjusting my size. It also looked really unstable, with just one blow it would fell on the floor. Not literally of course, but I guess you know what I mean right? So that's when I decided that it wasn't worth the money, and turned it back to the store.
This time I chose for a simple one, which was a lot cheaper as well. I'm happy to finally have one now, this will make it so much easier to make my costumes! I can't wait to try it for my Tohka cosplay! I'm still busy with that cosplay, is just seems endless. Also because it's the first time for me to use worbla. I still need to practice with that, but I'm sure I'll be doing fine. ^^
Stay tuned!

Today's Look | Saihate Miku
This is the second cosplay I wear during my project. For my first cosplay, click here! Wanna know how much cosplays I'm wearing of Hatsune Miku? I won't tell! But you'll find out soon enough. :)
This cosplay is easy to do. The only things that I had to buy were a tie and a flower. That's it, I had everything else in my closet already.
The haircolour of Hatsune Miku with this outfit is not the same as my wig. But that's no problem. I couldn't find a good dark blue wig in time, but my friend and I found a way to change the colour with some editing programs. That's really amazing!
So far things are looking good, although I'm getting really busy since Abunai!2014 is in less than 2 weeks!! And I still need to finish my Tohka and Kirito(GGO) cosplay!
Stay tuned!

New In | Wig Comb
Finally! My problems are solved!(At least I hope.) For the past two years I've been cosplaying, and most of the times I'm wearing a wig. For the people who wear long wigs, this problem probably sounds familiar with you: detangling a long wig is so hard! But it gets tangled so easily... T.T Just a whole bunch of drama.
I figured out that a regular comb doesn't work that well, and after some research and tips I found this comb. It's a special comb to detangle a wig. I'm very curious if it will make it easier to detangle my wigs. I'll find out soon enough! What I also do these days, is to soak my wig into softener. That really helps! It looks quite funny xD |

Today's Look | Hatsune Miku
Filming has officially begun! I've been working on this project for several weeks, and now it's getting real. Woohoo, I'm so excited! Today I started with the main outfit of Hatsune Miku. This is even the first cosplay that I have since I started cosplaying. It's almost two years ago that I cosplayed her at Abunai!2012. Ever since, this cosplay was hanging in my closet.
It kinda feels weird to wear this, but it reminds me of the times that cosplay was a new thing for me. I wore this cosplay at the beginning of a new chapter in my life (cosplay) and now I'm wearing it at the beginning of another new chapter, my very first project. :)
By the way, don't look at the frizzy hair or the background. This is the background I use for my project, since it's a 3D project. And the hair is already back in place, it was just a bit messy on the pic ;).
Now I only need a leek to make this complete, haha.

The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku Cosplay | Final Part
Click here for the 2nd part!
This is the third and also last part of my cosplay costume. This time I put the finishing pieces together to make it complete. I started with the cap. I sewed a red ribbon around it and with black and yellow carton I finished the cap.
The next thing I finished was the top. It only needed some golden buttons and attached them on the sides of the top. Easy as pie, and I'm happy that it turned out really well!
I also made some black stars, which goes upon her body. I never thought it would be that hard to make the perfect star, but after some practise and a lot of cutting it ended up succesful.
Miku also wears a headphone, but it wasn't exactly easy to find one. After searching for a while, I finally found one and ordered it. It wasn't the cheapest one for me, so I thought I'd use is for my project and for my self. Turns out the things doesn't work quite well. Oh well, you cannot have everything the way you want right?
Last but not least: The black parts that go around her legs. I don't know how to call them actually. Anyway, I made these with black carton, and painted the stripes red with acrylic paint. To make the painting a bit easier, I used some tape to stay within the lines. To get the carton parts in place, I cut pieces of a black legging. I fold the legging when it's around my leg, so the legging will hold the carton in place.
Hope you liked it and stay tuned!
