My 2012 Favourites!

Hey everyone!
2012 is almost over, so that’s when I started to think what I really liked last year. Hmm.. what are your favourites from 2012? Here are mine!

SKINCARE
That’s definitely The Pure Active by Garnier. I’m using this for a couple of years now and it’s still my favourite one. This product is for the younger skin and helps avoid pimples. It also feels really refreshing on my face and it kinda smells like fresh cucumber. Hmm!

PERFUME

Even though I don’t wear perfume everyday, when I wear it, it’s the Delicious CandyApples limited edition Juicy Berry by DKNY. I really love the smell, it’s so sweet and fruit-ish, also really girly.  I wear this perfume when I go out or have a meeting. Everybody wants to smell delicious like candy apples, right?

MAKEUP PRODUCT
This one is simple: liquid eyeliner!! I don’t know how I’ll complete my look without. Even when I don’t wanna spend hours on makeup, I  just put on some eyeliner and I’m ready for the day! My favourite eyeliner this year was by NYC

HAIRPRODUCT

I dyed my hair a few times, and I style it every once in a while with heat. I have pretty long hair and I don’t want to damage it until I need a boycut! So that’s when I decided to buy the Kérastase Resistance Ciment Thermique. It’s really easy to spread it out, and it’s also appropriate for styling irons and hairdryers. It’s really my favourite because it’s so smooth and really helps my hair!

 HAIR LOOK
The braid! Three strands, four strands, even five strands, French braid, dutch braid, twisted braid, you name it! I really like to wear this hair look. So easy and elegant! There are so many ways to make your hair look awesome with braids. I. JUST. LOVE. IT! Don’t know what else to say, but I wanna thank the one that discovered the braid.

OUTFIT
Okay, I try to look fashionable and stuff, but I can’t help that my favourite outfit is Skinny Jeans with my Kuma-Sweater and some All Stars. I just can’t! I especially love the sweater, it’s so cute and one of a kind here. It’s also really handy with the zipper at my tummy where I can put in things. What do you think, isn’t this sweater adorable? I also wore this many many times this year, this sweater is really amazing to me.

INSPIRATION
When it comes to inspiration it’s not just one thing. First of all, I got my inspiration from the Kpop-group 2NE1. They really inspire me with their music and their crazy outfits. Also Michelle Phan and other makeup and hair-guru’s really inspire me! They make me want to create something by my own, and that’s something that inspiration does for you J

MOST SPECIAL DAY

It’s hard thinking, but that was definitely the Abunai convention. It really inspired me, dressing up as Hatsune Miku and watch everyone else go crazy. It wasn’t only a day full of joy, but also a day where I learned a lot.

Well, these are my favourites for this year! I really enjoyed the year, and happy that we all survived the so-called doomsday 21-12-12. I hope to see you all next year!

The Winterfeeling | Closet items

Hey everyone!

It's already winter, and snow has already fallen here. Since I work at a clothing store, I see a lot of clothes everyday. Which girl can resist all those clothing when you see them everyday? Not me, that's why I pimped up my winterclothing for this year.

SWEATERS

What's a winter without sweaters? Last few years I didn't knew what to wear, because the only thing that I had were a lot of shirts and some hoodies. This year, I want to do it differently! So here are four sweaters I bought. These sweaters are quite simple, but not boring-looking. The second one you could already have seen, I bought that one a few weeks ago. The green one is really warm, but when I look at the color, it is more for spring than now. But why not wear it now? Winter doesn't mean you only have to wear boring colors like grey, right? The left one is striped, which gives the sweater a bit more detail. And the one on the right, might be boring grey but the turtleneck and the opening at both sides give it a more feminine and soft look.

DRESSES

December is known as the month of celebrations. Celebrate Christmas, going out with dinner, party at New Year's eve. We all wanna look great, and put the warm sweaters away for one night. I already posted a blog about hairstyles you will rock at these days. The pink dress is really sexy, but not too much. I would wear these kind of dresses to parties, but it is also a good dress to wear at summer. The next dress, is made with dark blue fabric and with a thin black layer (which you can see good at the shoulders). This dress is more chique, and great when you have dinner with family. I also wear the tights which I bought from ebay, which I posted in October.

TROUSERS

These trousers actually have nothing to do with winter. What I experience is that there are a few trousers these days which are better protected from cold. I don't have a lot of jeans, so I thought: why not? The first one is of suede, it feels very soft and I really like the color and the zipper at the end. The next one are dark-blue jeans. These are really thin, but they a warmer than regular jeans. These jeans are casual, and fit with every outfit.

SHOES

Finally I got two new pairs of shoes! First one is with hidden heels. They are so comfortable! I really like the color too. And, they seem to be waterproof, isn't that amazing? Then, the second pair of shoes are black, with fake fur on the inside. These are really warm and great for everyday wear. You can also wear them in different ways, so wonderful!!

REST

I didn't know how to call these clothes, so I'm sorry for the boring title. The first item is a blouse, which you can see is transparant. Now I don't really know what to wear underneath, so if you have ideas, leave a comment! The next shirt is is bright pink, and also great for spring! For now, it's a bit to cold, but it's great to wear with a vest. Then, I bought a coat! I was boring of my coat I've been wearing for three years now, so I wanted something new. I really like the buttons, and it fits great. Also, I bought some accesoiries. The scarf is round and really warm! That also counts for the woolen hat. I like the color and the knot on top.

So, this is my wintercollection! I really like the outfits and hope you will also. For any questions or suggestions, please leave a comment below.

Holiday Elegance | Christmas and New Year's Eve Hairstyles

Hey everyone!

It's already the last month of the year, that means Christmas and New Year's Eve are nearby! Still, we have a few weeks to go, so enough time to figure out what we're going to do at the holidays and not to forget: what to wear.

Not only clothing, but also hairdo's. It could be something sassy, or just an elegance look. Do it simple when you  have a lack of time, or take it to the extreme. I went searching online and find five looks that would look great for nextcoming evenings.

Side Braid

This is a great and easy look. You can compare it with a sidecut, but this is more elegant. First, start from one side and do a french braid till the middle. Then, tie the braid and pin it with some other strands of hair with bobbypins. For the rest of the hair, you can leave it straight, curl it, be as creative as you like. This is a nice look for evenings, but also a very catchy one for normal days. This is a wearable look for long and short hair.

Spiral Lace Braid Ponytail

If you wanna take it to the extreme, this it the look. It might be easy if someone helps you. It may take some time, but then you have an amazing hairstyle that will get anyones attention. First, devide your hair in four sections. Take the left part of your hair and do a lace braid. It's like a french braid, but you only pickup extra hair from one side. Do this until you reach the back of your head and continue with a normal braid. Do the same with the other sections, except for the right section. Make a ponytail and unwrap the braids in the ponytail. Then, do a lace braid in a spiral form on the ponytail. At the end, tie it with an elastic band and your done! Pretty hard to do on your own, but defenitely worth it!

Three Braid Updo

This look is also with braids, but way easier. It's a cute hairstyle, perfect when you have dinner with friends of family. First, section your hair in three parts and braid all the parts as a regular braid. When it's all done, take the middle braid and turn it into a bun. Do the same with the other braids and secure them with bobbypins. It's that easy, and it looks great!

Hair Bow

Want to make your hair look like an accesoire? This is the look. This look is great when you have long hair, but also can be worn if your hair is short or middle. Make a high ponytail but don't put all of your hair through the tie, just a big bow. Then, with the ends of your hair, go over the bow ands seperate the bow in two sections. Now you have the base, and all you have left to do is bobbypin everything in place till you have the perfect bow!

Korean Waves

And last but not least, the Korean Waves. This is very simple and fives you a sassy look. You can make loose waves or go for more wavy hair. It depends on what you like. There are many ways to create these waves, but a simple way is to make them with a flat iron. Every few inches just curl the flat iron inward or outward and hold it for a second. Then, slide down and repeat this proces. This look is really easy, so great when you have a lack of time and still want that fabulous style. This is also great if you have short hair and want to make it more bouncy.

This was my post already, I hope you enjoyed it! And if you rather watch a videotutorial, just click on the hair-title and it will open in a new screen. :) Soon, I hope to make new reviews about beautyproducts from asia.

Stud it up! | DIY tutorial

Hey everyone!

Winter is almost there, and that means we have to take the sweaters again and put away our shorts. Do you remember when you were little, your mom always bought your clothes and when you see those pictures, you're like:' MOM! Why did you buy those ugly sweaters?' Or the moments you were wathing television and saw a grandma knitting sweaters?

Well, in the end they wanted us to have it nice and warm. And still, sweaters are a must these days. But why not pimp it up? Why not add some details, make it unique? The answer: studs. Not only you can find them cheap on Ebay, they are also really easy to use. There are different kinds of studs, but you have to figure out yourself what you like best. Also, you can make your clothes as creative or crazy as you like!

Below, you can watch my DIY tutorial with the studs I bought from Ebay. I hope it will give you some inspiration!

Superlook make-up workshop

Hey everyone,

So last Sunday I went to a make-up workshop by Superlooks. Superlooks has its own make-up brand and also gives those workshops with their make-up. My mom thought it was a pretty coolidea, and she was able to get tickets for cheap. That’s pretty much the beginning story.

Now, I do like make-up, but I’m not a person that has to wear make-up before she goes outside (while I actually should when I’m having a zombie face). Though, I do watch youtube tutorials about make-up, and I find it very interesting, but I was never able to do it myself because I don’t have money for make-up :( . But last sunday, I was able!! There were two girls who actually taught us what you could wear for day make-up, and how you’re able to turn that into night make-up. And of course  I was able to try every single color on my face. I loved it! I actually found out that it is really easy to make nice cat-eyes with an eye creamer. Normally, I use liquid eyeliner, but I don’t have any patience to not open my eyes before it dryed.  With an eye creamer, there is no problem at all!! I could even draw really thin lines without messing it up.

Well, let’s stop talking about how amazing I think it was, or else this blogpost is going to be a very long one. But I’ve learned a lot, I was able to work with different kinds of brushes and makeup (I never knew that there are so many different things to make up your eyes!) and I had a lot of fun. Also, I think the result was quiet good for a first time. They also taught me a technique, which I’m not really able to explain, but I’ll try. First you’ll use a pencil and draw as close to your lashline, and at the end you make a little kind of wing, so you lift up your eyes. Then, from that point, you go to draw at your arcade of the eye. The next step is to take powder, and do the same thing. At the end, you want to blend it together so it gives a nice effect and bring some highlighter at the middle of the eye and in the eyecorner. That’s what they taught me to do and this even inspires me to experiment with makeup.
At the end of the workshop, everyone could choose two lip and eyeliner. I chose the gold and pink one. With the gold one I might want to make an eye-make-up tutorial for the holidays. And I chose the pink because it’s my favorite color (how mainstream).

I actually didn’t know what to say about this workshop, but I had a lot of fun and I hope you get an idea of this make-up workshop. I hope you enjoyed! For more information about this, you can go to superlook.eu .

'Park Bom' visits cosplayconvention | Nischicon 2012

Hey everyone,

I made it!! My 'Park Bom Ugly dress' is finally done. Okay, I worked with a friend till 3.30 AM but it was totally worth it! So last saturday I went to Nishicon, a dutch convention at Haarlem. It was held at a hotel, something different than a gym like MGC. I was really suprised, that some people even noticed me as Park Bom and that they wanted a picture of me. That is so flattering! Maybe you have seen me as well? :D

But back to the convention, there were three floors and on a moment I got so tired to go up and down the stairs, but I couldn't help myself to see everything ten times or so haha.
About the three floors:
- on the main floor you had to show your ticket. Also, if you were hungry, you were able to eat at the hotel's restaurant.
- downstairs, you could leave your bags and check out the dealer room, which looked pretty big to me. They had many stands. They sold pretty much everything (except food). From kpop to pluche dolls to mangabooks to many more! In the video below you can get an idea of how it looks. :)
- And last but not least, upstairs. There you could buy soms fries at a Maid Café, and check out the main events. There was also a karaoke stage, a draw-manga room and  a game room. In the game room there were a lot of games you could play. There was (of course) DDR, but also guitar hero and manga fight games.

So, I had a lot of fun!! And, like always, I bought some stuff. I bought another 2NE1 poster, which is already on my door, and a friend gave me this cute little pink yoshi. I wanted to buy more, but I didn't knew what I wanted, because there was so much choice!

I really hope you enjoyed this blog. Click on the video below to get an idea of the convention and at the end you can find some more pictures. :)

PS: I'm busy with making a short videoclip for the DIY Park Bom Ugly dress, I hope to post it this week. Here are some sneek peek pictures from my dress, so stay tuned!

Sneek peek | 2NE1 'Ugly' dress makes progress

Hey everyone!

Wow, it's already more than a week ago since I last posted. I've been so busy lately!! But do you remember this blog about the 'Bom Ugly dress' I posted ages ago?

Well, finally I'm making some progress! I have to, because I promised people that I'll go as Park Bom this saturday at Nishicon, another cosplay convention. I think I'm getting obsessed with these conventions. Anyway, I wanted to show you guys how far I am this time.

I already have drawn all the patches, which are inspired by 2NE1. Some are from the music video Ugly, others are inspired from 2NE1 logo's and stuff.

Here I already made 3 out of 7 patches, which are (almost) done. The rabbit is from Dara's hat, and the big black/white circle was inspired by the circle on Bom's dress. As you can see, the last one is 2NE1's Logo, which was inspired by the logo of '2NE1 EVOLUTION'. Here, it is quite a lot of pink, but I will use other colors as well, to make it an ugly-mess-dress.

I've also already made the earring! I couldn't find any blue hairextensions this moment, so I used my pink one, which I bought a couple of years ago. At an execution store, I found little roses, which were very cheap! I've chosen the blue one, and putted that on my extension. So what do you think?

And this last thing is not about something I made. I have a dilemma! You see, I bought a package with four masks, which were inspired by the masks at the music video. But I have two of them I want to wear, I just don't know which one to choose!! Can you help me? Shall I choose the more basic one or the popping-colored one?

Well, I'm also making a short movie about everything I've made for the dress and how I've done it. So definitely stay tuned!! Not only for this dress, but also for Nishicon :)

Once again..| MGC experience 2012/Cosplay Fashion Show

Hey everyone!

So as promised, here my blog about last saturday's cosplayconvention. I had so much fun!! On 27th of August I already went to Abunai, which was my first cosplay convention ever. This time, it was smaller than Abunai, but big enough to make it a great convention. It was held at a big gymnasion with on the other side a smaller room where the cosplay fashion show was taken place.  This cosplay even started at 11 AM and ended at 7 PM. Well, it actually was not big enough to stay there for 8 hours, but might be worth it because of all the activities they had. There were some tables with games, DDR, table where you could draw manga and so on.

things we bought! :D

There was also a dealer room. There were a lot of books they selled, but also some animemovies and plush toys, even cupcakes and KPOP-stuff!!  I bought a Kuma pluche, and it's so sweet and soft!! I also got a new 2NE1 poster (for the ones who didn't know I'm a huge fan, you know now!). Everytime when someone asked: 'Shall we walk through the dealer room?' , I was like: 'YES PLEASE!!' I just couldn't have enough of it, eventhough it was not really big, I love that kind of stuff, just wanna have it all!

Later this day we went to the Cosplay Fashion Show. And wow, it was so busy there! It wasn't even really comfortable because all the chairs were taken already, my back even hurts. But it was worth it. Eventhough I don't watch anime (except Sword Art Online), I still was able to notice some figures. I mean, who doesn't know Naruto or Miku these days?

Anyway, I really enjoyed the whole day, and at 4 PM we went back home.
So, underneath you can find my own-made little movie (I'm an amateur so please don't be rude because of the quality D: ) and then I still have many pictures just for you to take a look!
But first, look at my video!

For any questions or suggestions, leave a respons below. Hope you enjoyed my blog as much as I enjoyed the day :)
