Holiday Elegance | Christmas and New Year's Eve Hairstyles

Hey everyone!

It's already the last month of the year, that means Christmas and New Year's Eve are nearby! Still, we have a few weeks to go, so enough time to figure out what we're going to do at the holidays and not to forget: what to wear.

Not only clothing, but also hairdo's. It could be something sassy, or just an elegance look. Do it simple when you  have a lack of time, or take it to the extreme. I went searching online and find five looks that would look great for nextcoming evenings.

Side Braid

This is a great and easy look. You can compare it with a sidecut, but this is more elegant. First, start from one side and do a french braid till the middle. Then, tie the braid and pin it with some other strands of hair with bobbypins. For the rest of the hair, you can leave it straight, curl it, be as creative as you like. This is a nice look for evenings, but also a very catchy one for normal days. This is a wearable look for long and short hair.

Spiral Lace Braid Ponytail

If you wanna take it to the extreme, this it the look. It might be easy if someone helps you. It may take some time, but then you have an amazing hairstyle that will get anyones attention. First, devide your hair in four sections. Take the left part of your hair and do a lace braid. It's like a french braid, but you only pickup extra hair from one side. Do this until you reach the back of your head and continue with a normal braid. Do the same with the other sections, except for the right section. Make a ponytail and unwrap the braids in the ponytail. Then, do a lace braid in a spiral form on the ponytail. At the end, tie it with an elastic band and your done! Pretty hard to do on your own, but defenitely worth it!

Three Braid Updo

This look is also with braids, but way easier. It's a cute hairstyle, perfect when you have dinner with friends of family. First, section your hair in three parts and braid all the parts as a regular braid. When it's all done, take the middle braid and turn it into a bun. Do the same with the other braids and secure them with bobbypins. It's that easy, and it looks great!

Hair Bow

Want to make your hair look like an accesoire? This is the look. This look is great when you have long hair, but also can be worn if your hair is short or middle. Make a high ponytail but don't put all of your hair through the tie, just a big bow. Then, with the ends of your hair, go over the bow ands seperate the bow in two sections. Now you have the base, and all you have left to do is bobbypin everything in place till you have the perfect bow!

Korean Waves

And last but not least, the Korean Waves. This is very simple and fives you a sassy look. You can make loose waves or go for more wavy hair. It depends on what you like. There are many ways to create these waves, but a simple way is to make them with a flat iron. Every few inches just curl the flat iron inward or outward and hold it for a second. Then, slide down and repeat this proces. This look is really easy, so great when you have a lack of time and still want that fabulous style. This is also great if you have short hair and want to make it more bouncy.
