Superlook make-up workshop

Hey everyone,

So last Sunday I went to a make-up workshop by Superlooks. Superlooks has its own make-up brand and also gives those workshops with their make-up. My mom thought it was a pretty coolidea, and she was able to get tickets for cheap. That’s pretty much the beginning story.

Now, I do like make-up, but I’m not a person that has to wear make-up before she goes outside (while I actually should when I’m having a zombie face). Though, I do watch youtube tutorials about make-up, and I find it very interesting, but I was never able to do it myself because I don’t have money for make-up :( . But last sunday, I was able!! There were two girls who actually taught us what you could wear for day make-up, and how you’re able to turn that into night make-up. And of course  I was able to try every single color on my face. I loved it! I actually found out that it is really easy to make nice cat-eyes with an eye creamer. Normally, I use liquid eyeliner, but I don’t have any patience to not open my eyes before it dryed.  With an eye creamer, there is no problem at all!! I could even draw really thin lines without messing it up.

Well, let’s stop talking about how amazing I think it was, or else this blogpost is going to be a very long one. But I’ve learned a lot, I was able to work with different kinds of brushes and makeup (I never knew that there are so many different things to make up your eyes!) and I had a lot of fun. Also, I think the result was quiet good for a first time. They also taught me a technique, which I’m not really able to explain, but I’ll try. First you’ll use a pencil and draw as close to your lashline, and at the end you make a little kind of wing, so you lift up your eyes. Then, from that point, you go to draw at your arcade of the eye. The next step is to take powder, and do the same thing. At the end, you want to blend it together so it gives a nice effect and bring some highlighter at the middle of the eye and in the eyecorner. That’s what they taught me to do and this even inspires me to experiment with makeup.
At the end of the workshop, everyone could choose two lip and eyeliner. I chose the gold and pink one. With the gold one I might want to make an eye-make-up tutorial for the holidays. And I chose the pink because it’s my favorite color (how mainstream).

I actually didn’t know what to say about this workshop, but I had a lot of fun and I hope you get an idea of this make-up workshop. I hope you enjoyed! For more information about this, you can go to superlook.eu .

PS: I’m sorry but I still have to find a good location where I can film for my Park Bom dress. I hope I can put in online as soon as possible!

'Park Bom' visits cosplayconvention | Nischicon 2012

Hey everyone,

I made it!! My 'Park Bom Ugly dress' is finally done. Okay, I worked with a friend till 3.30 AM but it was totally worth it! So last saturday I went to Nishicon, a dutch convention at Haarlem. It was held at a hotel, something different than a gym like MGC. I was really suprised, that some people even noticed me as Park Bom and that they wanted a picture of me. That is so flattering! Maybe you have seen me as well? :D

But back to the convention, there were three floors and on a moment I got so tired to go up and down the stairs, but I couldn't help myself to see everything ten times or so haha.
About the three floors:
- on the main floor you had to show your ticket. Also, if you were hungry, you were able to eat at the hotel's restaurant.
- downstairs, you could leave your bags and check out the dealer room, which looked pretty big to me. They had many stands. They sold pretty much everything (except food). From kpop to pluche dolls to mangabooks to many more! In the video below you can get an idea of how it looks. :)
- And last but not least, upstairs. There you could buy soms fries at a Maid CafĂ©, and check out the main events. There was also a karaoke stage, a draw-manga room and  a game room. In the game room there were a lot of games you could play. There was (of course) DDR, but also guitar hero and manga fight games.

So, I had a lot of fun!! And, like always, I bought some stuff. I bought another 2NE1 poster, which is already on my door, and a friend gave me this cute little pink yoshi. I wanted to buy more, but I didn't knew what I wanted, because there was so much choice!

I really hope you enjoyed this blog. Click on the video below to get an idea of the convention and at the end you can find some more pictures. :)

PS: I'm busy with making a short videoclip for the DIY Park Bom Ugly dress, I hope to post it this week. Here are some sneek peek pictures from my dress, so stay tuned!

Sneek peek | 2NE1 'Ugly' dress makes progress

Hey everyone!

Wow, it's already more than a week ago since I last posted. I've been so busy lately!! But do you remember this blog about the 'Bom Ugly dress' I posted ages ago?

Well, finally I'm making some progress! I have to, because I promised people that I'll go as Park Bom this saturday at Nishicon, another cosplay convention. I think I'm getting obsessed with these conventions. Anyway, I wanted to show you guys how far I am this time.

I already have drawn all the patches, which are inspired by 2NE1. Some are from the music video Ugly, others are inspired from 2NE1 logo's and stuff.

Here I already made 3 out of 7 patches, which are (almost) done. The rabbit is from Dara's hat, and the big black/white circle was inspired by the circle on Bom's dress. As you can see, the last one is 2NE1's Logo, which was inspired by the logo of '2NE1 EVOLUTION'. Here, it is quite a lot of pink, but I will use other colors as well, to make it an ugly-mess-dress.

I've also already made the earring! I couldn't find any blue hairextensions this moment, so I used my pink one, which I bought a couple of years ago. At an execution store, I found little roses, which were very cheap! I've chosen the blue one, and putted that on my extension. So what do you think?

And this last thing is not about something I made. I have a dilemma! You see, I bought a package with four masks, which were inspired by the masks at the music video. But I have two of them I want to wear, I just don't know which one to choose!! Can you help me? Shall I choose the more basic one or the popping-colored one?

Well, I'm also making a short movie about everything I've made for the dress and how I've done it. So definitely stay tuned!! Not only for this dress, but also for Nishicon :)

Bweyo!

Once again..| MGC experience 2012/Cosplay Fashion Show

Hey everyone!

So as promised, here my blog about last saturday's cosplayconvention. I had so much fun!! On 27th of August I already went to Abunai, which was my first cosplay convention ever. This time, it was smaller than Abunai, but big enough to make it a great convention. It was held at a big gymnasion with on the other side a smaller room where the cosplay fashion show was taken place.  This cosplay even started at 11 AM and ended at 7 PM. Well, it actually was not big enough to stay there for 8 hours, but might be worth it because of all the activities they had. There were some tables with games, DDR, table where you could draw manga and so on.

things we bought! :D

There was also a dealer room. There were a lot of books they selled, but also some animemovies and plush toys, even cupcakes and KPOP-stuff!!  I bought a Kuma pluche, and it's so sweet and soft!! I also got a new 2NE1 poster (for the ones who didn't know I'm a huge fan, you know now!). Everytime when someone asked: 'Shall we walk through the dealer room?' , I was like: 'YES PLEASE!!' I just couldn't have enough of it, eventhough it was not really big, I love that kind of stuff, just wanna have it all!

Later this day we went to the Cosplay Fashion Show. And wow, it was so busy there! It wasn't even really comfortable because all the chairs were taken already, my back even hurts. But it was worth it. Eventhough I don't watch anime (except Sword Art Online), I still was able to notice some figures. I mean, who doesn't know Naruto or Miku these days?

Anyway, I really enjoyed the whole day, and at 4 PM we went back home.
So, underneath you can find my own-made little movie (I'm an amateur so please don't be rude because of the quality D: ) and then I still have many pictures just for you to take a look!
But first, look at my video!

For any questions or suggestions, leave a respons below. Hope you enjoyed my blog as much as I enjoyed the day :)

Li Hao
