DIY: give fall a finishing touch with your nails

Hey everyone!

So lately I got two nailpolishes from my grandma, who always spoils me with little things like this. As I looked at the colors, it reminded me of my last post, about autumn. The colors just fit in to me, so I decided to do a really simple picture tutorial for this easypeasy naildesign.

First, start off with a basecoat, as usual. Then, I use the number 620 Captain Sparrow's Boat nailpolish by Catrice and paint your nails with this color. For better result, apply two layers of this color. Let it dry. For me, it took less than two minutes before it's completely dry.

Hope you can see the shiny brown color,
sorry for the bad picture

When the green/grey-ish color has dried, aplly one thin layer of the number 860 Browno Mars also by Catrice ( wow, they are really creative with names don't you think?). Now you have a shiny brown color, but when it has dried, also the green/grey-ish color will appear. This has a very cool effect.

I like this style, but you can vary by switching these colors with eachother or even try with others. These colors and other earthtone colors are very great for Fall. I hope you liked this quick tutorial. I know, it's really easy and may even be boring than when nail-artists make tutorials, but it's fun to do and it looks great! Soon I will post everything about my japanese sweets I bought, I just have to finish my video-editing. So stay tuned!!

Goodday autumn, how are you?

Hey everyone,

say byebye to summer and hello to autumn! Summer is over, and that means: autumnshopping! No more bikini's, shorts or sunglasses now (unless it's everyday a summerday in your country). The next three months we live in a world where leaves are falling down, wonder if you really should go outside with that oversized rainsuit and thinking what kind of clothes look adorable but still keep you warm.

Autumn is a season where everything gets a little darker, so are the clothes in stores. In fact, right now there is a huge dark cloud above my house, which is about to explode with rain. But however, the times to wear a superduperbright pink bikini are over. Now you should think about soft colors, nature colors. Think about champagne, copper, brown, burgundy etcetera.

Now you might think: it's just not my style, I don't like green or other dark colors. Well, too bad for you! No I'm just kidding. There are many ways to express autumn. Fashion week is a really good inspiration source for what you like and just get that extra feeling. Click here for the Fall/Winter fashion week of Milan.
If you like to wear your summerclothing but don't want to caught a cold, scarfs and tabards are the solution! Experimenter, and find your No. 1 look!

Not only clothing, but also your makeup is about to change. Instead of wearing rainbowcolors on your lids, let's try to take it a bit off. Or not, if you wanna take it to the extreme!  Also here you can get inspirations from all the web. There are many tutorials with autumn as base, but natural looks will fit as well.

Perhaps I will do a tutorial about styling when winter begins, but for now I hope you liked it. And remember: just be yourself!

Back to school with cute, simply hairstyles

Hey everyone!

For almost everyone, school has already begun. I remember when I was in high school, I rather stay in bed for five minutes more than get a quick-but-cute hairstyle. This year, I wanna do it differently. I always get lazy and never know what to do with my hair, just brush my hair and think: Whatever, it looks good to me. But now, I'm tired of that attitude. I'm not that lazy, so why should my hair look like it?

I searched for buns to braids and other creative hairstyles. Let me show you my top five hairstyles I'm definitely going to try this year!

Donut Knot

I guess this is the most PO-PU-LAR knot at the moment. I already bought a donutshaped elastic, or originally calles chignon, and tried of course. This is a simply hairstyle, but it still needs some practice at the beginning. Each time it gets easier to do this bun so don't give up when your hair gets tangled in this elastic for the first time! Most of the time people use one normal elastic, the chignon and some bobbypins to set it.

Korean Bun

This is also a really cute hairstyle that only takes a few minutes to do. For me it's easier than the Donut knot, because I don't need the chignon and it still looks cute. It's very popular in Korea and mostly worn on the top of the head, but feel free to set your bun wherever you like. You only need two elastics, and some bobbypins if you prefer.

Five Strand Braid

When I get tired of the regular braid, I wanna try something else what is not too hard for me. Then, there excist a five-strand braid which is the perfect solution and really easy to do. In stead of three strands you use five. As you can see on the photo is just gives that extra cuteness to the braid.  This hairstyle is mostly worn on the side of your head. This looks cute no matter you have short bangs, long bangs or no bangs. At the beginning you should get used to the five strands in your hand, which could get a little confusing, but you learn it with time!

Side Strand Braid

This is a nice hairstyle, with or without bangs. If you have bangs you could keep them in place, or braid them with the rest of your hair. What I like is that you could do so many with this hairstyle. Once you braided one side, you could braid the rest of your hair, but you could also tie it with an elastic so you have a ponytail! You could also braid the other side of your hair and make a knot. Everything looks really cute! You could just braid regular to the side, but also do a french or dutch braid. As you can see there are so many ways to make this side strand braid as you like!

Romantic Bohemian Hairstyle

And lost but not least: A cute loose hairstyle. Normally I wear my hair loose, with nothing special. But with a braid like this it gives so much cuteness to it. Best thing is, it is simply to do it. The only thing you need are one or two regular braids( as you prefer), and put them to the side. You can keep the rest of your hair straight, but also curl it for that extra romantic look. This is a good everyday-wear hairstyle, but is also nice to wear when you're on a date!

So, this is my top five hairstyles of the moment, and I really need to push myself to do something with my hair. Hair needs care too!! Of course, not only care to look good, but haircare products are really helpfull too! Not only you could wear these hairstyles everyday, it's also perfect if you haven't got your shiny moment by the photographer of school. Now my question to you is: what is your favorite everyday hairstyle this moment? Please share at the comment below. And if you want to try one of these hairstyles, just click on the name for a tutorial ;)
